2 Days Desert Tour From Fes Itinerary

Day 1: Fes ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Middle Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Fes at 8:00 AM and begin our drive towards the Sahara Desert.

Our first stop will be Ifrane, a charming mountain town famous for its clean streets, green parks, and European-style architecture. You’ll have free time to explore and take photos.

Next, we’ll visit the cedar forest of Azrou, where you’ll have the chance to see the famous Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat.

We’ll continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Midelt for lunch before driving through the spectacular Ziz Valley. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of palm groves, mountains, and traditional villages.

In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Merzouga. Here, you’ll begin your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As you ride through the desert, you’ll witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in Morocco.

We’ll then continue through the beautiful Ziz Valley and travel back across the Middle Atlas Mountains. After a lunch stop along the way, we’ll visit the cedar forest of Azrou once more before continuing to Fes.

We’ll arrive back in Fes around 6:00 PM, where we’ll drop you off at your accommodation and end your memorable desert experience.
