3 Days Marrakech Desert Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ Dades Valley.
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 8:00 AM and begin our drive towards southern Morocco.
Our route takes us across the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of mountain landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and beautiful valleys.
Our first major stop is Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most famous historic sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have time to explore the ancient village and learn about its fascinating history. Many famous movies and TV series have been filmed here, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, we’ll continue through Ouarzazate, Skoura, and Kalaat M’Gouna, known as the Valley of Roses.

We’ll then continue through Tinghir, Tinejdad, and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
In the late afternoon, your camel adventure begins. You’ll ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while enjoying the peaceful beauty of the Sahara.
We’ll stop on a high dune so you can watch a spectacular sunset over the desert.
After sunset, we’ll continue to the desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and Berber music around the campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga ⇢ Draa Valley ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Marrakech.

We’ll stop for lunch in Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy more incredible mountain views and traditional villages before arriving back in Marrakech around 6:00 PM.
