5 Days Tour Tangier to Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: Tangier ⇢ Chefchaouen.
You’ve now set off to Tangier, from where you will cross through the Rif Mountains, enjoying the views until you get to what is famously known as the Tapeo-“Blue City.”
Stroll amid the colorful medina, explore its many alleyways, and take a viewpoint above the surrounding mountains. In a traditional Riad, overnight.
Day 2: Chefchaouen ⇢ Fes.
Leave for Fes after breakfast, considered Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital, going past a few rolling hills and quaint little villages.
After arriving in Fes, uncover Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO site, and the largest car-free area in the world. Later on, visit Al-Qarawiyyin University, inspect the tanneries, and wander through the souks before checking in your traditional Riad for the night.
Day 3: Fes ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Middle Atlas Mountains ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Merzouga.
Drive south to Fes to Ifrane, the “Little Switzerland,” then on to the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, famous for their Barbary macaques. Cross the Ziz Valley into Merzouga and enjoy an exciting camel ride with Erg Chebbi dunes.
Witness an outstanding sunset across the dunes and sleep in a desert camp beneath the stars for a night of enchantment.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Dades Valley.
Awake early to be mesmerized by the spectacular sunrise over the dunes, and then drive to Rissani, a centuries-old town commonly recognized for its large traditional market. Cross the Todra Gorge, a sacred ecclesiastic sight in Morocco, by steep rock walls and enjoy a short hike.
Afterward, you will drive through the Dades Valley, known for beautiful rock formations and kasbahs, where you’ll enjoy dinner before an overnight stay in a comfortable Riad.
Day 5: Dades Valley ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Aït Ben Haddou ⇢ Marrakech.
Extend the route across the Roses Valley to Ouarzazate, the so-called “Gateway to the Desert.” Visit one of the famous kasbahs of Aït Ben Haddou- a UNESCO heritage that is usually used as an attractive location in several films.
Cross the High Atlas Mountain Chain via the pass of Tizi n’Tichka with panoramic views, some stops to overview these amazing views. Your tour will end in Marrakech.
