6 Days Marrakech Desert Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ Telouet Kasbah ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ Dades Valley.
We’ll leave Marrakech in the morning and drive across the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of mountain villages, valleys, and winding roads.
Our first stop is Telouet Kasbah, once home to the powerful Glaoui family. After exploring this hidden treasure, we’ll continue to Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, we’ll travel through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before arriving in Dades Valley. You’ll admire the stunning rock formations and beautiful landscapes before checking into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades Valley ⇢ Agdz ⇢ Nkoub ⇢ Alnif ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Merzouga.

Later, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. Ride across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes while watching one of the most beautiful sunsets in Morocco.
Tonight, you’ll enjoy dinner, traditional Berber music, and a magical overnight stay in a luxury desert camp beneath a sky full of stars.
Day 3: Full Day Exploring Merzouga Desert.
Wake up early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise before breakfast.
Today is dedicated to discovering the Merzouga region. We’ll visit Khamlia village, famous for its traditional Gnawa music, and meet local nomadic families living on the edge of the desert.
You’ll also explore the surrounding dunes, fossil sites, and hidden desert landscapes by 4×4. During the afternoon, you can relax, try sandboarding, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Sahara.
Dinner and overnight stay in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Cedar Forest Azrou ⇢ Ifrae ⇢ Fes.
After breakfast, we’ll leave the desert and head north toward Fes.
Our route takes us through the beautiful Ziz Valley, one of Morocco’s largest palm oases. We’ll stop for panoramic views before continuing to Midelt for lunch.
Later, we’ll visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you’ll have the chance to see wild Barbary macaques. We then continue to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets, alpine architecture, and pleasant climate.
By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Fes and check into a traditional riad.
Day 5: Fes Sightseeing With a Local Guide ⇢ Casablanca.
After breakfast, you’ll meet your local guide for a fascinating tour of Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city.
Explore the ancient Medina of Fes, visit Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, the famous Chouara Tanneries, and the Royal Palace gates. Wander through narrow streets filled with traditional crafts, spices, and local life.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital. Enjoy a walk along the Corniche before spending the night in the city.
