Our first major stop is Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site. Many famous films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed here. After exploring the Kasbah, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we’ll pass through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and continue through Skoura’s palm groves and Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for its roses. Just before we check into our hotel in the Dades Valley, we’ll visit the rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers.” Overnight stay in a hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Erfoud ⇢ Merzouga Desert.

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Tinghir to visit the Todra Gorge. These massive cliffs and the flowing river make for a great walk or photo stop. Then, we’ll continue through Tinejdad and Jorf, passing Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops.

By afternoon, we’ll reach Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. You’ll ride into the golden dunes and watch a stunning desert sunset. At the camp, you’ll enjoy dinner, listen to Berber music around the campfire, and spend the night in a traditional tent under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Azrou Cedar Forest ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Fes.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at the camp. We’ll ride camels back to Merzouga and start our journey to Fes. The drive takes us through the Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm trees and scenic views.

We’ll stop in Azrou’s cedar forest to see the Barbary apes and then pass through Ifrane, a charming town often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” By late afternoon or early evening, we’ll arrive in Fes, where your adventure ends.
