4 Days Desert Tour Marrakech to Fes Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Skoura ⇢ Dades Valley.
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 8:00 AM and start our adventure through the High Atlas Mountains.
We’ll cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass and stop at beautiful viewpoints to take photos and enjoy the mountain scenery.
Next, we’ll visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous historical landmarks. You’ll have time to explore the ancient village before lunch.
After lunch, we’ll continue through Ouarzazate and visit the impressive Amridil Kasbah in Skoura. Then we’ll travel through the Valley of Roses before reaching Dades Valley.
Before arriving at our hotel, we’ll stop to admire the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations.
Dinner and overnight stay in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley ⇢ Todra Canyon ⇢ Merzouga Desert.
After breakfast, we’ll head to Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most spectacular natural attractions.
You’ll have time to walk through the canyon and enjoy the impressive cliffs that rise high above the river.
We’ll continue through Tinejdad and Erfoud, known for its fossils and dates, before arriving in Merzouga.
In the late afternoon, we’ll exchange the vehicle for camels and ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while watching the sunset.
At the desert camp, we’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and storytelling around the campfire.

Day 3: Full-Day Excursion in Merzouga.

Today we’ll explore the Merzouga Desert and its surroundings. We’ll visit Dayet Srij Lake, a seasonal lake that attracts flamingos and other birds.
We’ll also visit Khamlia Village, famous for its traditional Gnawa music, and meet local nomadic families to learn about their desert lifestyle.
We’ll visit the Mifis mines and discover more of the Sahara’s hidden landscapes.
After lunch, you’ll have free time to relax or enjoy optional activities such as sandboarding or quad biking.
Dinner and overnight stay in Merzouga.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Cedar Forest of Azrou ⇢ Fes.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our trips to Fes.
We’ll travel through the beautiful Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic views.
After a lunch stop in Midelt, we’ll continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and visit the cedar forest of Azrou, where we’ll see Barbary monkeys in their natural habitat.
We’ll also stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco because of its European-style architecture and clean streets.
By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Fes, where our 4-day desert adventure comes to an end.
