4 Days Tour Errachidia to Marrakech Itinerary

Day 1: Errachidia ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Erfoud ⇢ Merzouga Desert.

Your tour begins from Errachidia, heading south via the Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves and ancient Berber Village. Make stops to enjoy some great panoramic views en-route to Erfoud, known for its fossils and dates.

Arrive at Merzouga, set amidst the ergs of sand dunes Erg Chebbi. Later this afternoon, venture on a great camel ride along the golden sand, arriving just in time to see the magic of the breathtaking sunset. Typically, dinner and overnight are common under the endless starry heavens, with classic Berber folk music and nights around the fire.

Day 2: Full Day Desert Exploration.

Spend the day exploring the fascinating culture of the desert in Merzouga. Visit a nomadic family in their tents to get an insight into their lives, followed by a visit to Khamlia village for some traditional Gnawa music.

Hike the dunes surrounding Merzouga, or for an optional jeep ride through the dunes.
Learn to sandboard, have tea with the locals, and enjoy the serenity of the Sahara. 

Spend another night under a star-filled desert sky, soaking in all the peace the dunes can offer.

Day 3: Merzouga ⇢ Rissani ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Dades Valley.

After an early breakfast, head to Rissani, an ancient city with an animated market and strong links to Morocco’s past.

Take a turn around its traditional souk before heading to the Todra Gorge, whose towering cliffs form one of the most spectacular canyons in Morocco. Take a walk through the gorge and enjoy the cool air before heading to the picturesque Dades Valley.

Admire the winding roads and curious rock forms of the valley before retiring in a charming guesthouse for a night, amidst a delicious Berber meal.

Day 4: Dades Valley ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Marrakech.

Commence the last day of your journey with a scenic drive through the Valley of Roses, noted for its perfume and traditional distillation of rosewater. Proceed to Aїt Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site with an ancient kasbah and an attractive film location.

Visit the kasbah, then travel across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where scenic hilltop vistas unfold in all directions. Late afternoon arrival in Marrakech. The desert adventure would end upon arrival.
